Yellowstone at last

The colours in the micro-organisms
were eye-catching in their spread.

Our first bubbling mud pool and active geysers.

This is our first hot spring
bubbling....warm.... steamy.......
and everywhere a strong smell of sulphur.

Eventually we do make it to Yellowstone but this is Labour Day weekend and consequently very busy. We found somewhere comfortable to stay but most of the other guests semed to be oriental tourists on a coach tour or part of a Harley Davidson contingent. Not that we spent much time there as Yellowstone National Park was not only beautiful it was geologically fascinating and teeming with wildlife.
