Alistair's Birthday Trip to Yorkshire

It was a special birthday for Alistair so we had a midweek break in Yorkshire. On the first day we visited my mother who lives in a home in Leyburn. It was a lovely sunny day so we took her to visit Aysgarth Falls.

The next day was Alistair's birthday and his choice was to revisit Brimham Rocks. He visited these rock formations on a family outing fifty five years ago. Then you could drive your car up the track to the rocks and get out your picnic pretty much where you chose. Now there is a barrier to prevent this and you have to pay to park in the National Trust car park at the bottom. The rock formations are just as impressive though and he had a good time climbing them as you can see.
