Going, going, gone

When I was about to retire Alistair built me a summer house at the end of the garden. We have used it a lot and if the sun was shining in the middle of winter it was warm enough to enjoy our Saturday lunchtime bacon sandwiches whilst reading the papers. After many seasons it needs to be replaced and a new one has been ordered.







So, with the help of our neighbour Bill, Alistair began the demolition. The roof was removed and sawn up. After much sawing and several trips to the tip we had a clear site.


As you can see in the photo above he had left a romantic message when laying the original concrete base. Something we had both forgotten was there but nice to re-discover.
