Hill towns in Tuscany and Assisi

We only had time to visit some of the smaller hill towns in Tuscany but the countryside and views were spectacular.

On the town walls in Pienza, a town which had a very strong smell of cheese.

Alistair after a most enjoyable local wine and food tasting session iin Montepulciano.
No guided tour today so clutching
guide book in Assisi.


We passed the villa used by Frances Mayle on her book "Under the Tuscan Sun". Evidently this was a more attractive view than that of the actual villa she did renovate.
