Florence fatigue

The next day we visited Florence for the day and were a little over ambitious on what could be achieved. After an extensive guided walking tour in the morning, we had an hour for lunch (quick picnic near Ponte Vecchio) before our timed guided tour of the Uffizi in the afternoon. Whilst the the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guides could not be faulted, I found the hours of standing played havoc with my back. After this we resolved that one guided tour a day was more realistic. After all it does leave something for another visit.

The campanile looks to be leaning ............point and shoot photographer at work!

Major
tourist points

This shot on the Ponte Vecchio shows how busy Florence was in the main areas.

You could choose a spot and ignore all the other tourists.

This photo was taken from a window in the Uffizi.

Liz, we took this picture for you.
