Oldest and Youngest

Today Nicholas and family came to visit Mother/Nanna in her residential home.......being driven made a pleasant change for me.   Nicholas has always been called my "My Number One Grandson" but nowadays I am not sure she recognises me, never mind Nicholas.  However she enjoys visitors and Marisa sparked off several short conversations about children. 

Marisa had brought her flash cards which she shared with her great grandmother.

It was obvious at this point that Mother's eyesight has deteriorated considerably.  However deciphering the cards held her interest for some time.

Made mental note to print out some large format photos to take up on my next visit.
