Poorly girl

Marisa had a week at home recently with a bad cold.....I had suffered with a cold the week before so I was very sympathetic.  After a couple of days she began to recover and insisted on going out to play in the newly arrived snow.  So suitably wrapped up out she went.

It might be called a summerhouse but to Marisa it is the place she plays in when she is in the garden.  She got out her sweeping brush so that she could clear the swing but it proved a bigger job than she had the energy for.  Anyway Nanna was not keen on sitting on the cold seat.

The snow did show up the willow trees in their truncated glory.  It had been eight years since their last cut and they had got much too big but at present they look a little sad.

Winter 2009

After nearly a week of being confined to the house because of the snow we did manage a trip down to the toy shop in Bramhall to get some presents for Norway and Switzerland. Marisa looked very sweet in her snow outfit and sunglasses and all she wanted to have was a small wooden spoon....(see earlier post on baking).....how long will this last?
At the end of the week Uncle Philip came to stay and took her out for a ride round the houses on her sledge.
Setting out all relaxed with Sheepy ..................

........returning clutching sledge tightly so that she wouldn't be tipped out.
