Beating the Retreat in Macclesfield

After the marching bands in Coppet we had our own marching moment in Macclesfield.  Marisa was having a sleepover that evening so we took her down to the Town Hall square to watch.  She was fascinated by the whole event but her favourite instrument was the big drum.  I am often surprised by her sharp eyes and this time she spotted a playmate from nursery watching on the other side of the square.  Afterward the band had marched away she insisted on going to find her friend and say hello.  This event made quite an impression as she refers to it whenever we walk through the square which is on our regular route to the library.
