Buxton Puppet Festival

Every year after the main Buxton Festival and the G and S Festival there is the Puppet Festival.  There are lots of productions and street performances.  We had tickets for Presto Puppets in the Opera House.  It was a lovely day so we took a picnic to eat in the Pavilion Gardens.  As we were driving along looking for a parking place Marisa spotted some roundabouts and shouted excitedly "Grandpa, Grandpa have you got lots of money for me to have rides".

First it was time to have our picnic lunch where a strange figure was seen in the park.

Grandpa tells her that is Darth Vader which of course is before her time.

The puppet show was excellent although Marisa was prepared to be frightened during the story of Aladdin.  It must be said that she actually seems to enjoy being frightened.

After the show it was back into the park and over to where the roundabouts were.  She chose Thomas for her ride and Grandpa got some exercise by running alongside.

When I showed Nicholas the pictures he remarked she must have ridden in every one of those engines this summer.  No wonder she wanted to know if Grandpa had lots of money.
