Colwyn Bay July 4 2011

Today Marisa's pre-school was closed for inset so we decided a trip to the seaside would be a good idea.  So off we went to a beach just below Old Colwyn in Wales where the sun shone all day.

When we arrived the tide was coming in and it was just a short walk to the sea where Grandpa wanted to watch the youngsters learning to canoe.



Marisa wanted to get down to the serious business of making sandcastles.



Then there was seaweed to collect and channels to dig before the sea washed everything away.

After all that hard work it was time for some ice cream and retail therapy in Rhos on Sea just along the coast .

Near the shops we found a park with a children's paddling pool and it was term time most of the children were about Marisa's age. 

Soon Marisa found a "new best friend" and they had a great time together. 

In fact when it was time for the little girl had to go home she cried so her mother said perhaps they could meet again tomorrow.  I had to say Marisa was in nursery tomorrow so then we had two sad little girls....................
