Visit to the mountain ski family - part two - snowshoes

As I mentioned in my last post we were kitted out very snugly for our stay in the cold.  This included snowshoes and poles. The shot below is of the snowshoes I am about to put on ...you can just see Kate's brand new boots under the salopettes that she let me wear ....thanks Kate.

Once you got into the rhythm it was quite fun ploughing up the mountain trail and looking down over the apartment in the valley.

It was seeing this shot that encouraged Malcolm to suggest we could snowshoe up to the Tipi restaurant the next day and they would ski down and we could all have Sunday lunch together.  By the time I had flogged up the trail it must be said I was very hot and grumpy!  However lunch restored me.

 Of course then there was the journey back down....so back on with all the gear.....

I must admit by this time we were feeling rather pleased with ourselves.
